How to Become a Billionaire in One Easy Book

Bob Cusack, Robert Bailey, & Matt Lenahan

“Would you rather be a billionaire, or have a billionaires’s mind?” asked Robert Bailey, author and head of Trusted Advisory Services, to a group gathered for his publication party. Mr. Bailey spoke briefly at a signing for his new book, The Billionaire’s Little Black Book, held at Newport Investment Management offices on Washington Square, Newport.

Given media stories of heartbreaking mismanagement of windfalls by the unprepared, (remember those many unfortunate Lottery winners?),  the statement was profound. He had everyone’s attention.

Dr. Craig Pruitt congratules the author

Mr. Bailey said, “ An unprecedented global crisis has taught us the lesson of a lifetime the value of being prepared.   The book will empower families to be their own fiduciaries with respect to financial and other aspects of their lives.”

Citing his grandfather, who was a proud capitalist, Mr. Bailey said that to be financially literate, one must separate emotion from financial decision making to succeed. He advises building teams, and “empowering yourself.”
Core services needed by everyone include fiduciary management and scenario planning. The book  itself includes four plans and strategies for making better decisions with money and life, based on the habits and behavior of the wealthy and their advisors.   Bailey avers, “you don’t have to know anything to begin.”

A dedicated advocate of financial literacy and training, Mr. Bailey is donating a portion of the profits from the book to a new national Family Financial Literacy Program, which will premiere in Newport in affiliation with the NPEF, and the Newport schools.

Eagerly buying autographed books were Matthew Lenehan and Bob Cusack, hosts, Dr. Craig Pruitt,  Lynn Ceglie, Bob Smith, Teddy Aspegren, Fred Roy, Karl Olsen, Dominique Alfandre, and John Lingley. Members of The Island Moving Company dance troupe served hors d’oeuvres, prepared by Shauna Maguire.
