Salve Regina Madrigal Singers, High Tea at St. Columba’s Chapel
Under the direction or of Don St. Jean, the Madrigal Singers of Salve Regina University gave an intimate concert recently, ranging from Spanish Renaissance ( Louis David) to traditional carols, such as “The Carol of the Bells, “ to Handel’s "Messiah" at the Edward King Center. Under the direction of Mr. St. Jean, the choir sang a “Prayer for the Chldren”, and such sing-a- longs as “Deck The Halls”, ending with the massive “Hallelujah” chorus from “The Messiah” of G.F.Handel.

Shortly thereafter, St. Columba’s Chapel held a Victorian Tea on Vaucluse Avenue, offering cakes , cucumber sandwiches and a holiday atmosphere, under the able driection of Meg Little. In attendance were Father Christopher Epperson, Jean Lowen, Meg Little, Lisa Reimer, Sara Chadwick, Toby Field, and other mainstays of the congregation. An enticing bake sale lured many patrons.
